The Owl: A Comeback

Guess what? I just woke up and it's already freakin midnight. hehehe Well, I have disturbing sleep habits but now at least I am going back to my old nocturnal self. I am now on night shift. yepey!

Nocturnality to some may be a negative thing. I got a scolding from my Ma because she always assume that me being on this shift will jeopardize my health considering the horror they've been through two years ago when I got hospitalized. As for me, working on night shifts is like Nirvana. nyahahaha. Why? Because as what I've been trying to tell you from my very first post, I am a not a very social person. I don't feel comfortable in crowds. Well, its not like our office is crowded. Let's just say that I am comfortable with my circle of friends. I am not a snob mind you. Not at all, if someone smiles at me then I smile back at them. Im a follower of the Golden Rule. I do what other people are doing unto me. Ironically, I am more socially active online and I don't really know why. Just this morning, I got an invite from a long lost-friend and I was like, God! you found me. Geez, I am everywhere. :))

Anyway, this swapping of skeds is quite different. We're under strict observation from our parent company abroad so we have to be really into it. Not like we're not but then, I guess they want perfection. So, we are stripped off access to anything that is deemed a disturbance. I was on night shift yesterday and believe me, all I did was browse pictures to battle boredom, not drowsiness. Wow! For two months, I think I can already memorize every minute details of each of my workmates' physical features.

Wish me luck!

Busy as a Bee

I've been a 'lil busy these days because I'm making a new blog. This time, it will be more about me and my weather- and mood-dependent fashion sense. harhar

Yeah, I love cameras and I love to dress up. As for the latter, I'm kinda curious why on my lowest days, I resort to just go get some clothes from my closet and do whatever I can with it until I find it decent enough to be shown. Yep, I haven't shown everything here yet. Imagine that! hahaha. So anyway, I know that I am not that fashionista but I don't wanna be caught with the wrong outfit either. I admit that I often visit fashionista blogs or celebrity news to get some ideas. With a twist here and a little alteration there, I can come up with a style that I can call my own.

If you have time, go over my new site: http://crazylemonada.blogspot.com. Why the name? Well, let's just say that I am crazy over lemonade these days and I can't really explain why.
The site is not on its prime yet 'coz I still can't decide on the design, but it will be kicking ass soon. :woooh:

And oh, do you find these emoticons amusing or irritating? hehehe. I am having fun with it as of the moment, if only I can make them smaller. Do any of you know how? Please help! Thank you.

'till here. Have to head over to the new blog. :okay:

Contemplating...

I've been thinking a lot lately...

Why is it that up to these days, Filipinos has yet to overcome crab mentality?

Why is it that by the time we decide to forget someone, he comes back right into your life with a bang?

Why is it that some Filipinos abroad act arrogant and they even have the audacity to bamboozle their fellowmen?

Do you think we can really find a way to stop pollution? I'm not only talking about the environment but also on how the minds of the new generation are getting polluted these days.

Global warming anyone? :sigh:

Will they be able to find a cure for cancer?

How soon can you call someone a true friend?

Is there still hope for our government?

Will I ever get the chance to meet Josh Hartnett or Shia LeBouf or Matt Damon or:woooh: ?

I may be talking nonsense here but really now, enlighten me.
:ha?:

Practicality? or Just Plain Desperation?

I remember I was tagged some 3 months ago and in it, I have to list down the things I want to accomplish within this year. As always, it is just a list. Looking back at the post, I laughed when I read number 9. The -ber months are almost here and I did told myself that I will make number 9 a reality before my 25th birthday. Unfortunately, I haven't found the right one yet or let's just say, he hasn't found me yet. :ahaha:

I usually consult my bestfriends when it comes to this matter. Our conversation usually goes like this.

Bessie: Bes, go for it. These days, you are not allowed to be choosy anymore.
Moi : But
Bessie: No buts! It is practical to just go with the flow.
Moi: So, if I'm gonna say yes to this guy, will it make me practical or will it make me look like one desperate soul?
Bessie: Are you desperate?
Moi: I think I'm getting there.
Bessie: So what are you waiting for?
Moi: him
Bessie: I thought so! Well, if that's the case then you have to get over it before you get into a new one.
Moi: easy for you to say. *sigh

So there yah go. I just said it! I think I'm goin down desperation lane or maybe this is just because I'm nearing my monthly period. hehehe. Hey! I have to blame someone or some phenomenon for this. It's not usual for me to wear my heart on my sleeves. Oh and by the way! Ma just gave me the go signal to get hitched. I totally laughed out loud while we're at the mall. OMG! I can't believe you're doing this Ma! I don't even have a boyfriend and I am so not ready to get hitched.

The Olympic Dream (or so I think)

"Oh my God it's a ranch." I heard myself saying these words out loud. It's not that I haven't been into a ranch before but that ranch was kinda special. You know, those that you usually see in romantic movies. Then there's this big house and there at the door I saw my Mama waving at me. I felt myself walking towards her. "Come on, dinner's ready," she said. "Why is she speaking in English" and why am I thinking in English?" :ha?:Geez. Then I saw the house's interior. My God it's huge. There were people everywhere. I saw my college friends and they were very busy preparing for a very special occasion, I assumed because the room is filled with flowers. Then to my right, there's this room full of computers. What the? What's goin' on in here? There were people I don't recognize and I can't quite understand what they're saying ;coz its all gibberish. I can't find my Mama anywhere so I've decided to go to the computer room. I was so impressed by the big LCDs that I hardly notice a man approaching me. "excuse me," he said. I turned around and almost bit my tongue. Standing before me is Phelps, all 6 ft. and 4 in. of him.

"I'm Michael Phelps,"
"I know!, uh, I'm Irma,"
"So, you must be the new computer instructor huh? They told me you're here already"
"I am?"
"Uh, I guess so":tsk:

Palms sweating, he stared at me while I discussed the basics of keyboarding. hahaha. :ahaha:
Then he...
Then the earth shook. I can hear someone calling me. "Mi, mata na." (Mi, wake up!)

Huh? Dang it! What a dream. I knew it! It's too good to be true. nyahahaha. Well, it's not unusual that I dream about my Mother or my friends. I can explain why my mother was there because we recently had a spat and my friends are also there because I miss them sooo much. As for the LCDs, clearly, I can't get my mind off work. :waaah: But Phelps? Geez, what the heck is he doing in my dreams? The Olympics maybe but I wasn't really into it aside from gymnastics. So after that dream, I immediately googled him and look what I got.

Hmmm, he's hot! :woooh: but...

Small Business Opportunities

If your salary is good enough for your family then you are one lucky guy. However, these days, depending on one's pay is rarely happening. Sometimes, having a business of your own no matter how small it is, can help a family go on with life. If you don't know where to find small business opportunities then you might want to try looking for it on the Internet. Do it with caution though because the Internet does not only offer numerous opportunities but also scams. So be careful when dealing with opportunities online.

Exercise at Home

Tell me, how often do you exercise? Twice a week, once? or maybe you don't have time at all. These days, we are all busy in our daily activities that we no longer have time for our fitness. Good thing, the exercise equipment industry realized our needs that they've introduced a series of equipment for home use. Take for example the ellipticals. An elliptical is a stationary machine that simulates walking or running but with lesser pressure on the joints. Consult your personal trainer right now.

Why Do We Need Friends?

This is long overdue. Man! I used to be so excited when tagged but let's just say that I got a lil busy for the past days. This one is from Sheng. Thanks for this one. :)

We need friends for many reasons,
all throughout the season.
We need friends to comfort us
when we are sad,
and to have fun with us when we are glad.

We need friends to give us good advice,
We need someone we can count on,
and treat us nice.

We need friends to remember us
one we have passed
sharing memories that will always last.

Spread the poem of friendship.

A Picture Paints a Thousand Words

Indeed, David Gates was right when he intertwined these flawless words into his song "If." Originally, these immortal words were taken from an oriental source. Now, wouldn't it be lovely if you can cherish one very special picture your whole life? What's the best way to do it? Put it in picture frames. Explore your artistic and wild side and try to find or make a frame that would really bring out the thousand words from a picture. There are a lot of styles anywhere and if you are having a hard time in choosing, make your own. :)

Cheap Auto Insurance

If you are having a hard time searching for cheap auto insurance, I suggest you try the Internet. If those insurance agents are making matters worse, go over some Web sites wherein you can choose the right car insurance and you can choose the price, of course. With the advent of this technology, you will no longer have headaches whenever this type of insurance is called for. Remember, caveat emptor! Take precautions when dealing with online insurance services. Make sure that the agency you are dealing with has all the necessary documents for authentication.

Let's Just Say...

that I am not in my very best right now. In fact, a lot has happened for the last few days that I even got sick of it. Literally, I'm suffering from flu right now and I have counted at least 20 sneezes for a span of an hour. Last Thursday, I had a spat with my mother. I don't wanna share it coz it is too personal. Just when I thought I can shake it off my system, another mishap happened that I was so close to being hysterical. Sometimes, I just don't understand why people can be so shallow. Anyway, I've kept my composure because that night, I'm meeting my gradeschool friend at the mall. She's from Manila and we are going to have some sort of a reunion. I can really tell that I was sooo angry that night because I got drunk. I know how to control my alcohol intake and that was just like three of four shots. When I looked at our pics, I was so effing red. Boy! Was I drunk. Hmm, that was a first. I'm not the kind of person that holds grudges, but then again people change.

Anyhow, I woke up breathing although we went out until the wee hours of the morning. Meaning, I have to bring my grudges with me until the end of the day. Now, I've mentioned that I'm having some problems with my PC right? 'twas quite a record actually coz I've managed to ruin it three months before its birthday. You see, I don't own an obsolete PC, the specs were carefully chosen by a friend of mine and I am totally responsible for what has happened. Just when I had it formatted, I was attacked by a lot of viruses, I've lost count. So, I have to format it again. Dang! I really have to ask, "When will this end?"

*oh, I've noticed. Google has done it again. I'm now PR2. dang it!

A Pat in the Back!

I deserve one. I told you yesterday my PC crashed right? and that I was on the verge of depression (char) and have almost contacted all my geek friends because I was too scared to face the problem myself. Then again, I got impatient and have decided to just do it myself. Now, Voila! I did it! hihihi.

My connection is not quite an A though. I think it has something to do with my overdue bills. hikhikhik. Anyway, I'm gonna be paying it this week and hopefully everything's going to be A-okay.

When the Going Gets Tough

Just when I had the desire to blog again. Just when I had so many stories to tell, my PC crashed. Yep, I cant believe I'm in an I-cafe right now. Anyhow, this is quite a challenge to my antiquated troubleshooting skills. I have to say that I did the damage myself. hihihihi. You see, sometimes, I don't wait for my PC to shut down properly, I usually hit the power button everytime I'm in a hurry. So now, I'm reaping the consequences of my action. So while I'm out and about trying to figure things out, I leave you here dancing to Rihanna's DISTURBIA. (chuckle)
